Where do I start? At the beginning maybe? Better place than any.
I’ve always loved animals, especially dogs. There has never been a time in my life when I did not have dog. I knew in my teens that my career would have something to do with dogs. After high school I went to SUNY Cobleskill majoring in Animal Husbandry. My next step was going to be Veterinary College. Well,, I didn’t make it. Life interrupted. Tuition bills have to be paid. So long story short I ended up on the hamster wheel of Corporate America.
Fast forward to 2019. I adopted an English Bulldog puppy. Little did I know this breed has a lot of issues with food sensitivities and food allergies. This began my journey on learning how to feed my pet better. Its been a lot of research and trial and error but it has been worth it. Heddie is healthy fat little baby now.
Finding a pet store that met my needs was a struggle. Most pet stores stock mainstream kibble which I learned was the root cause of most of Heddie’s issues. I finally found a pet store but it was 15 miles out of my way. Why should I or anyone have to travel so far to get better food choices for our pets? We shouldn’t. So I decided now was as better time than any to cut the chord with Corporate America and to not only share what I’ve learned but make it easily accessible.
Brick City Pets is the neighborhood pet store who’s goal is to provide the community with education, food and supplies that promote the well being of our fur babies. A healthier pet is a happier pet.
